It was a grey, chilly day here, so naturally, I took the girls to the park. Actually, we went to one park, then went grocery shopping for picnic supplies, and ended up at yet another park where we had an excellent picnic and playtime. The second park, which is normally crowded, was utterly deserted. This is not me complaining... I tend to prefer the off-season.
While we were at the grocery store, a little old lady with a heavy Germanic accent told me I was a great mom. At the time, I was doing a couple of extra laps through the aisles of the grocery store so Ellie could keep playing in the little toddler-car on the front of the cart. Not sure if that really makes me a great mom or just overly indulgent, but I'll take the compliment. In other news, the baby is trying her damnedest to get up on all fours. She's getting scarily close, too.
