she's got hops

Airborne!

Two days ago, Ellie started jumping with both feet off the ground at once. It has rapidly become one of her favorite hobbies.

Hoping to have time this weekend to upload a few photos from Christmas/New Year's. One of my resolutions for 2012 was to try and take at least one photo of Ellie every day. So far I've only missed two days - nice considering that I look now at photos from a year ago and my mind boggles that she was once so small. She turns two years old soon. Hard to believe...

About Me

My first child, Abigail, was stillborn five weeks before her due date, in August 2008. Thankfully, our second child was born healthy and screaming (with joy, I'd like to think) 18 months later, in February 2010. Ellie's little sister, Irie, was born 26 months after that, in April 2012.

While Abi's loss shot me into a world of grief and sorrow, Ellie's skyrocketed me into a world of happiness and - holy shit - infant care. Then Irie added even more fun and insanity to the mix. So here I am, just figuring out this whole parenthood thing... and profoundly grateful to be doing so.
